How long is a day on Venus?
Venus takes about 243 Earth days to spin once, longer than its year of about 225 Earth days. It also spins backwards compared with most planets.
Going deeper
Venus rotates incredibly slowly, and in the opposite direction to Earth, so on Venus the Sun would rise in the west and set in the east.
Because it's spinning backwards while also orbiting, the time from one sunrise to the next (a solar day) is about 117 Earth days. Still, a single rotation takes longer than a full trip around the Sun.
