Today’s rabbit hole
Why is doing nothing so hard?
Our brains crave stimulation, and boredom feels uncomfortable. Faced with nothing to do, most people grab the nearest distraction, even an unpleasant one.

Rush is a free collection of small, satisfying things to do online when you’re bored. Pop bubble wrap, rake a zen garden, try to do nothing for two minutes, or fall down a rabbit hole of curious questions. It runs in any browser, nothing to install, and nothing you do leaves your device.
Questions
What is Rush?
Rush is a free website of small, pointless, satisfying things to do when you're bored: bubble wrap to pop, a zen garden to rake, a button you shouldn't press, a two-minute do-nothing challenge, and short answers to curious questions.
Is Rush free?
Yes, completely. There's no sign-up, no ads and nothing to buy.
Does Rush work on my phone?
Yes. Every toy works in a phone, tablet or computer browser, with touch or mouse. There's nothing to install.
What does the “wasted” clock count?
How long you've spent actually playing Rush's toys. It only ticks while you're in a toy and playing — not while you browse, and not in idle or hidden tabs. The same time puts you on the leaderboard. Wear it with pride.
What does “Rush me” do?
It rolls the dice and drops you into a random toy or rabbit hole. Press it again whenever you get bored.
Your to-do list
will still be there.
Probably. Go on.
